Leadership Matters - Back To School

County Shares CARES Funds with School District

This month, the school district received $325,000 from Tooele County as part of a surplus of funds they received from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security, (CARES), Act. The federal stimulus aimed at COVID-19 relief is flexible in nature; the school district can use the funds for a wide variety of efforts including distance/remote learning, school meals, supporting at-risk student populations, mental and physical health, supplemental learning, facilities/equipment, and maintaining continuity of core staff and services. Digital Teaching and Learning Inititiave

Digital Teaching and Learning Initiative brings additional technology training to teachers and devices to students. Last month, the Tooele County School District Board of Education approved a formal Digital Teaching and Learning Initiative that not only aims to train teachers on how to more effectively use technology in the classroom but also bring the district to a one-device-per-student ratio.

Student Intent Survey

TCSD's plan is to have all students return to school on Aug. 25, 2020 (whether online or in-person).
In preparation for the new school year, please take a moment to tell us the intent you have for student enrollment. You will need to repeat the survey for each student enrolled with Tooele County School District.
