A letter from the Superintendent: With the “Our Schools Now” public meetings announced for tomorrow, July 11th all across the state, I thought you might want to see the text of the ballot initiative referred to as “Teacher and Student Success Act.”

Back-To-School Closet

Tooele County School District and community partners look forward to hosting the annual Back-To-School Closet. Last year approximately 400 families were in attendance. Students are able to receive clothing, shoes, backpacks, school supplies, and more.

BOE Votes to Apply Certified Tax Rate, Lowers Tax Rate

During the June 20th Budget Hearing, the Tooele County Board of Education voted to keep the same budgeted revenue as last year, less new growth. By applying the certified tax rate it will lower the school district tax rate from 0.009593 to 0.009122.

Pay Increase for Teachers and Support Professionals

Tooele County School District is proud to announce it has reached a tentative agreement with the Tooele Education Association that will increase salaries for all teachers in the district. TCSD has also reached an agreement with the Tooele Education Support Professionals Association to increase salaries.

Pay it Forward: Tooele Community Closet

KUTV Channel 2 News interviewed the Tooele County School District Homeless Liaison Coordinator, Christy Johnson, about the Community Closet.
The next Tooele Community Closet is scheduled for Saturday, August 5th at Tooele Jr. High. Cities within Tooele County will be holding clothing drives to get ready for the back-to-school event.

Schools Get New Website Domain Names

In March of 2017, Tooele County School District partook in a district-wide migration to a new website platform. The new websites are still evolving, but every day updates are made to reach the goal of providing clear, accurate, and timely information.
