TCSD welcomes the Gifted Enrichment Model

Beginning August of 2021, Tooele County School District will begin the Gifted Enrichment Model for students who qualify.
This will be the first time the school district has incorporated a gifted education program, which is designed to help challenge learners who are advanced by giving them equitable access at their neighborhood elementary school. For 2021-2022, the Gifted Enrichment Model will start with students in 3rd grade, and each year the program will add a grade level and continue to grow. (To learn more about GEM, click on the title)

Tooele County School District’s School Climate Surveys 2021

Tooele County School District is participating in a survey project organized by the Utah State Board of Education focusing on school climate. School climate can be defined as the quality and character of school life. We can improve school climate when we understand the thoughts, feelings, and experiences of members of a school’s community. The feedback we collect from families, students, teachers and staff through these school climate surveys will help us identify specific strengths and weaknesses within each school. This information is essential in our effort to make our schools places where students can learn and where everyone feels safe and welcome. Get Delay & Closure Updates

In Tooele County School District, our community expects timely communications, especially during safety concerns, like inclement weather. Because each weather-related call is based on current and forecasted conditions, we often publish a final decision early in the morning, rather than the night before. With winter conditions uncertain and further observations necessary, our crews start evaluating road conditions at midnight. Decisions to close the district are often made by 5:30 a.m.

While anyone can proactively check tooeleschools.org for updates, or watch for local media reports, below are options identified as fast and reliable methods for finding out when a district-wide delay or closure is announced.
